How do I save a recipe?

Use Add in the app to write a recipe or open a recipe website. On a supported website, review the detected recipe before saving. Use My kitchen → Save from other apps for help finding Chutney in the iOS share sheet.

Why is my social link waiting?

TikTok and Instagram importing is not connected in this release. Saved links wait on your device; they are not completed imports. You can use website recipes and recipes you write while importing is unavailable. Check Add → Import progress for saved links and any available retry actions.

Does signing in back up my cookbook?

Not in this release. Your cookbooks, groceries, meal plans, profile and personal notes stay on your device. Sign in with Apple connects your Chutney account; it does not sync those files to another device. Signing out leaves the local cookbook in place.

How do I delete my account or data?

Open My kitchen → Your data, or Account → Delete account. Read what will be removed, then confirm. If you are signed out, sign in to the original account first. Deletion disconnects Chutney from Apple; it does not delete your Apple Account.

If deletion is interrupted, return to Your data and choose Retry deletion. Keep an internet connection until server deletion completes. The app will explain if only local cleanup remains.

A recipe is missing an amount or detail

Check the original creator or website using the recipe’s source link. Chutney preserves unknown amounts rather than inventing them. You can edit a saved recipe after checking its source.

I’m not hearing a cooking timer

Check Chutney’s notification permission, sound settings and Focus settings in iOS Settings. Keep important cooking tasks under your own supervision; device settings can silence notifications.
